The Drawing Project is a unique arts programming organization connecting and growing community through the act of drawing.

The Drawing Project is dedicated to creating an environment in which participants will experiment, take risks, learn, discover, explore–be immersed in the creative process, connect with oneʼs own hand and their ability to observe and simply draw. We aim to collaborate, encourage and engage diverse local and global perspectives on contemporary drawing through projects like Urban Roving Drawers BikeDrawBike, Silverwood Park’s Field Day and Drawing with Mittens, Burnet Gallery Beyond the Artist Talks, Endless Drawing and Hydrolectricity with Aaron Marx at the Guthrie Theater, Imagining New: North Minneapolis’s Lincoln Park, and St. Paul Public Library programming Walking the Line – Drawing for Creative Aging. The Drawing Project was chosen as a 2014 finalist for the St. Paul Knights Art Challenge as one of the 69 out of 800 applications who applied, received the St. Paul Knights Art Challenge grant in 2015 and will conclude St. Paul Knights Art Challenge work in 2017.
