This summer The Drawing Project is teaching and drawing with creative adults from the Common Bond Riverview Senior Community who are curious about what drawing can say and bring to their lives. “Crossing the Line: Drawing for All” is supported by EngAGE a nonprofit that takes a whole-person approach to community and creative, healthy aging by providing arts, wellness, lifelong learning, community building and intergenerational programs to thousands of seniors living in affordable senior and multi-generational apartment communities in Southern California, Oregon and Minnesota. TDP lead artists and organizers Lynda Monick-Isenberg and Shannon Brunette lead the sessions with kind assistance from recent MCAD MFA graduate Heather Peebles.
Work from Week 1 – Line introduction – Taking a line for a slow stroll. A lively and animated drawing session – with generous, kind and highly curious students.
